Stanford Newman , along with Carlos Fuente Sr., produced a superior cigar in 1991, known As the Diamond Crown. These outstanding cigars marked the 100th anniversary of the J.C. Newman Cigar Company, where cost, time, and market viability were of no concern. When Stanford reached his mid 70’s, he decided to develop the most favorable and exquisite cigar of the time. Stanford produced a thick cigar with a yellow ring that permits the blending of 6 to 7 tobacco leaves, thus making it an extremely intense and/ or complex blend of tobaccos.

The Diamond Crown, produced in 1991 by Stanford Newman and Carlos Fuentes Sr. Stanford created an unapproachable line of cigars for the 100th year celebration of the J.C. Newman Cigar Company. These fine cigars were produced with no worry about cost, market viability, and time. Stanford wanted to celebrate 5 decades of cigar production, so when he was in his mid 70’s, he focused on creating the most favorable and/ or tasteful cigar ever put on the market. He felt that the Diamond Crown must be a thick cigar in order to surpass all of its previous competitors. This smoke displays a yellow ring that blends 6 – 7 individual tobacco leaves, which makes for an intricate blend of tobaccos.
