In 1991, Carlos Fuente, Sr assisted Stanford Newman in the creation of the Diamond Crown, a superior cigar. This cigar was founded in commemoration of the J.C.Newman’s 100th celebration. It was designed to be the most exquisite smoke on the market, with no worry about cost and time pertaining to its production. Newman wanted to create a cigar that surpassed all others. Now in his mid 70’s, he was prepared to construct the most unique cigar of the last 5 decades. Newman  realized that he  must make the Diamond Crown a thick bodied smoke , so that it  would be able to house a large ring that was needed for the blend of 6 -7 tobaccos.
