In 1978, five centuries after Christopher Columbus first heard the word Cohiba, the Cohiba Cigar was created by Diaz y Cia. However, in the 1990’s the Dominican Cohiba cigar was recreated. It is the only type of Cohiba cigar from the Dominican Republic that can legally be bought in the United States. This cigar took many years to develop, but it is well worth the wait. Its dark exquisite wrapper is grown in the West African subtropical climate of Cameroon. This binder is from Indonesia and is both tasty and favorable. The  Piloto Cubano filler leaves which are grown in the Dominican Republic increase the richness of the wrapper of this superb cigar.  Yes, the Dominican Cohiba cigar is a pleasurable smoke, and is as rich in flavor as it is in history. Its taste is intensifying; however it does not overpower its smoker.
