Simply put, the recipe and way of making the Padron Cigars is what makes them so special. Many individuals see a Padron Cigar and realize it is well made, however the extent of work that goes into a Padron Cigar is easy to overlook.
The Padron Cigars tobacco is all Habano that has been grown under a strong sun. After processing the tobacco it is aged for at least two and a half years before being used to create a cigar. There are some types of Padron Cigars that have aged tobacco that is at least four or five years old.
The Cuban influence on the Padron Cigar is obvious. The flavor, the way of making them, and the time involved all reflects the commitment Padron Cigars has to creating a full bodied and outstanding cigar. Cohiba cigars are quite an indulgence for people who crave a flavorful smoke. The production of Cohiba cigars has never matched the demand for them. These cigars sell quickly in classy bars for as much as twenty dollars a piece. Because of the high demand for Cohibas, there are many counterfeit Cohibas floating around the market. |

In 1912, Arturo Fuente founded the A. Fuente Cigar Company in Ybor City, an historic part of Tampa, Florida. The most famous brand produced by the company in its early days was the Tampa Sweetheart, well known for its logo of a man and woman in a rowboat and a romantic backdrop that inspired the name of the brand. |
