Here we go again. I went out and bought another Honduran cigar. I know I am a glutton for punishment, but hey, I really didn’t know it was a Honduran. I have been hearing about this company for a while now and wanted to give them a review. I went to my local tobacco shop (just in case you are near Memphis it is Madison Tobacco on Union Avenue) and picked this one up today along with a few more smokes I am going to review. Out of all the new ones that I bought, this was the only one I haven’t had before, so I decided to give this baby a review today.
I took my laptop outside, put the kids on the swing, got a root beer (Didn’t have any cold beer) and headed outside to smoke this cigar. After looking up all of my background info on the Puros Indios cigar company I realized I purchased another Honduran…Just in case this is your first time reading one of my reviews, I am noted for not particularly liking Honduran tobacco and in general, I don’t give them good reviews.
Enough of my blabbing, lets get to the review of the Puros Indios Piramide #3
This cigar is big. It is jam packed with tobacco. As I was pulling it out of the cellophane I notice just how much there was in it. Wow, I was amazed. I love the belicoso shape. It lets me dream that this stupid embargo will end soon and I will have a Cuban belicoso (at least legally having one). The whole construction of this cigar is great. The draw is perfect. The cigar fits just perfect into my big mouth and allows me to indulge in a huge amount of smoke.
I had a very hard time lighting this cigar due to being outside. Since it is so large, a wee little match is no match for this cigar. After I did get it lit, it had such a harsh taste to it I had to let it set for a spell to cool off. I did have to relight the foot a little bit to get the cigar to burn evenly and of course, had to put it down again after doing that. It burned just fine after that.
You know, I could smoke this cigar again. It isn’t my favorite, but for a price tag of just over $2.70 a pcs when you buy them buy the box is a good deal. I am actually enjoying this cigar. Unbelievable! Of course it could be because I am outside enjoying another balmy day here down south and enjoying hearing my kids scream in delight on the swing or it could be that this cigar is a good smoke even for a Honduran.
My final thoughts:
This is a cigar that deserves your patronage. Try it out. It is a good smoke for the price and it has a ton of tobacco in it so you get plenty of smoking pleasure out of it.
If you are interested in having me review a particular cigar for you, just let me know. Send and email to
