The king of the World brought me to my knees begging for more! The Godfather, Jonathan Byrd, is king for a day with the El Rey Del Mundo. Join him for an in depth review of this nice smoke.
El Rey Del Mundo Robusto Lavalla 5 x 54 Wrapper: Ecuador Sumatra Oscuro Fillers: Havana Seed Grown in Honduras Comes in a box of 20
The El Rey Del Mundo line of cigars have some big britches to fit in to. If you call your line “the King of the World” you better have one heck of a cigar. Well, surprise, surprise, they not only able to fit into their britches, they need to get bigger britches to wear. This cigar was great!
From the first draw, you realize that this cigar is not for those faint of heart smokers. It is a full bodied smoke from the beginning to the end. It is full of wonderful flavor and captures your heart with a delightful aroma. From the start, even before lighting, I cut the cap and took a few draws from the unlit cigar. The full spicy nature of this “king” revealed itself. I could keep this cigar unlit in my mouth all day.
This cigar took very easily to the small match that I used to light it. It only took one match to light it. Whether that speaks to the cigars readiness to smoke, or my superb skill in lighting a cigar I will let you, the reader, decide.
During the smoke I noticed how well this cigar was constructed. The cigar held a nice white ash for quite a while. Rather than let it drop into my lap, I never saw just how far it could go, but it held it well. The burn was fairly good. It being a darker color wrapper, it tends to burn a bit more slowly and sometimes not as evenly if drawed upon to often. When this happened to me, I just stop smoking it for a bit and it usually evens itself out properly.
The cigar leaves a rather pleasant taste in the mouth after smoking. Something to remind you of the greatness and boldness of the smoke, yet, it doesn’t overpower your palette. I noticed a bit of harshness toward the end of the cigar, but for a ring gauge of this size that is normal. I also was smoking this cigar too quickly and that tends to produce harshness as well.
The Ending
Overall, I was quite impressed with El Rey Del Mundo and you will be as well. For $4.20 a smoke, this would be more of your average price cigar, but that is the only thing average about it. In all other respects you are getting a $10 cigar for 60% off. Buy one of these and kick back and enjoy it over the weekend. .
I have found a good deal for our readers. You can buy this smoke online for around $54.00 a box. That is $2.70 a cigar…including shipping make it $3.00 a smoke. That is a great deal. You are going to want to buy this cigar buy the box.
